Comic-Con International Ready to Try Again
After its registration system crashed during open registration, Comic-Con International (San Diego, California, July 24-27) promised a date would be forthcoming for the chance to try again. CCI has announced that the date will be November 23rd.
CCI did not promise a full explanation of the problems, and has duly not delivered one, just vague assurances of a fix:
Our registration company has been working diligently to identify the root cause of the issue and implement a resolution. Their team has made critical infrastructure improvements with the goal of delivering a reliable registration experience. We are pleased to report that these changes are performing as expected, which have given us the confidence to move forward.
CCI emphasizes that this is a complete redo. Anyone who may have successfully registered on October 26th will have that registration reset, and queue positions will be newly randomized.
